714 foot net drop from start to finish
This is a point-to-point race. Race begins in Rancho Penasquitos and heads
South on Carmel Mountain Rd. The only real major hill is in the
beginning at about mile 1.5...piece of cake! Then all runners travel 9 miles down the 56 Bike
Path enjoying spectacular views and a gentle rolling downhill course.
The last 4 miles are virtually flat to the finish down Carmel Valley
Road towards Torrey Pines State Beach for a potential PR.
FOOD DRIVE: Bring a non-perishable food item (or two) to bib pick-up and let's feed those who are less fortunate. The Joan Kroc/Salvation Army will be collecting all food donations and distributing to homeless shelters in the county. Let's make a difference in San Diego this holiday season.
Calculate your pace for this race. TAZ Running has formulated what your pace needs to be at each mile on the San Diego Holiday Half course, based on your individual finish time.
